Abdullah Gerasimov came to custom homes the long way round. Commercial and civic buildings first, then two years running residential construction in the field, then five and a half years at institutional scale.

The two field years matter more than they look on a CV. Site work is where a drawing stops being a drawing and becomes something a crew has to build — in Houston clay, in Houston rain, under a Houston permit.

He holds a Master of Architecture and a B.S. in Architectural Engineering, with 14 credentials across design, sustainability and building science. Each one is listed below with the body that issued it.

He stays with a project from the first walk of the land through permitting and construction. Firm size matters less than who is still accountable when something unexpected turns up in the field.

That is where these guides come from. They lean on permitting, drainage and construction sequencing rather than styling, because the parts of a Houston project that go wrong are rarely the parts you can see in a photograph.
